ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying how different ways of focusing during Pilates exercises can affect people's reaction times and overall performance. Specifically, it looks at two types of focus: one where participants pay attention to their movements and body position (internal focus) and another where they concentrate on the equipment or surroundings (external focus). The trial will take place over eight weeks at Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University, involving 25 participants in each focus group.

To be eligible for this study, volunteers should be between 18 and 30 years old, healthy, and willing to participate in an exercise program. However, individuals with certain health conditions, such as serious heart issues or injuries that prevent exercise, will not be included. Participants can expect to engage in Pilates classes and will be guided through different exercises based on their assigned focus group. This research aims to better understand how focus strategies can improve exercise performance, which could benefit many people who practice Pilates or other forms of exercise.
