ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how common Restless Legs Syndrome (RLS) is among people with Parkinson's Disease (PD) in Thailand, as well as the characteristics of those who experience it. Parkinson's Disease is a condition that affects movement and typically occurs in older adults, leading to symptoms like shaking, stiffness, and difficulty with balance. RLS is a condition that causes uncomfortable sensations in the legs, especially when resting, which can make people feel the urge to move their legs to feel better.
To participate in the trial, individuals must be diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease and be between the ages of 18 and 80. However, people with certain other conditions, such as those with different types of Parkinsonism or significant cognitive impairment, may not qualify. If eligible, participants can expect to undergo assessments to help researchers understand more about the relationship between RLS and PD. This study is important as it could lead to better understanding and management of RLS in people with Parkinson's Disease.
