ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is looking to understand what factors predict the development and outcomes of diabetic foot disease in patients who also have chronic kidney disease (CKD) due to type 2 diabetes. People with both of these conditions face a much higher risk of serious foot problems, including the possibility of needing an amputation. The researchers want to find out how things like age, gender, the severity of infections, and how well diabetes is controlled can influence foot health in these patients.

To participate in this study, individuals must be at least 18 years old, have type 2 diabetes (with or without foot problems), and be in various stages of chronic kidney disease. However, those on dialysis, with a kidney transplant, pregnant women, and individuals with type 1 diabetes cannot join. If you qualify and choose to take part, you can expect to help researchers gain important insights that could improve care and outcomes for people with diabetic foot disease and chronic kidney disease. This trial is not yet recruiting participants, but it aims to gather valuable information to help manage these serious health issues in the future.
