ClinConnect Summary
The 4D PICTURE Project is a clinical trial aimed at improving how patients with breast, prostate, or melanoma cancer make decisions about their care. The researchers want to see if a method called MetroMapping can help make the decision-making process easier and more supportive for patients. In this study, around 500 adult participants from the Netherlands, Spain, and Denmark will share their experiences before and after using this new approach. They will fill out questionnaires to measure how comfortable they feel in making decisions about their treatment and have their consultations recorded to better understand the decision-making process.
To be eligible for this study, participants need to be over 18 years old, have one of the specified cancers, and be able to communicate in Dutch, Danish, Spanish, or Catalan. During the study, participants will complete questionnaires at two different times: once after their initial consultation and again six months later. They will also have the chance to share their personal experiences through interviews. This trial not only seeks to enhance patient involvement in their care but also aims to gather valuable insights that could lead to better support for cancer patients in the future.
