ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying two different treatments for a foot condition called plantar fasciitis, which causes pain in the heel and bottom of the foot. The researchers want to see whether a technique called Instrumental Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) or a method known as Kinesio taping is more effective at improving foot function and quality of life for people suffering from this condition. The study will involve 38 participants, divided into two groups, and is currently looking for volunteers aged 20 to 40 who work on their feet for more than eight hours a day and experience specific pain symptoms related to plantar fasciitis.

To be eligible for the trial, participants must be between 20 and 40 years old, regardless of gender, and have a painful area on the heel that hurts when touched or during the first few steps after resting. However, those with a history of foot or ankle surgery, certain inflammatory diseases, or recent foot injuries may not be able to participate. If you join the trial, you can expect to receive one of the two treatments and provide feedback on how your foot feels and how well you can perform daily activities. This study aims to help improve treatment options for people with plantar fasciitis.
