ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the effects of a specific type of exercise called plyometric training on female fast bowlers. Plyometric exercises involve explosive movements that can help improve strength, balance, and power, which are important for bowling performance in cricket. The trial will take place at the Pakistan Sports Board in Lahore and aims to see if these exercises can help bowlers improve their skills and reduce the risk of injuries.
To participate, women aged 19 to 28 who are active fast bowlers on a team and in good health can apply. Participants will be split into two groups: one will do the new plyometric exercises for eight weeks, while the other will continue their regular training. Both groups will meet three times a week for 60 minutes each session. Before and after the training period, their strength and balance will be tested to see any improvements. It’s important to note that those with recent injuries, especially to the elbow or shoulder, will not be eligible for this trial.
