ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is looking at how effective education on oral health can help prevent problems in the mouth that can occur after patients receive radiotherapy for head and neck cancer. Radiotherapy is a common treatment that uses high-energy rays to kill cancer cells, but it can sometimes lead to complications like sore mouth or difficulty eating. The study aims to teach patients how to take care of their oral health to reduce these risks.

To participate in this trial, patients must be between 18 and 80 years old and have been diagnosed with a malignant tumor in the head or neck that hasn't spread to other parts of the body. They should be receiving radiotherapy or a combination of radiotherapy and chemotherapy. Participants will need to sign a consent form and be in good enough health to follow the study's guidelines. The trial is currently recruiting participants, and those who join can expect to receive helpful information about maintaining their oral health during treatment.
