ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at the use of robot-assisted therapy to help people who have had a stroke and are experiencing difficulties with their hand movements. Specifically, the study aims to see how effective this type of therapy is for patients who are in different stages of recovery from their stroke. The researchers believe that using robots for hand therapy could improve rehabilitation outcomes for stroke patients.
To be eligible for the trial, participants should be at least three months post-stroke, be in good enough health to participate in rehabilitation, and be able to understand simple commands. However, individuals with severe pain, stiffness, or other issues affecting their hand, as well as those with certain neurological problems or serious depression, will not be able to join. If selected, participants can expect to receive specialized therapy using robotic technology designed to help improve their hand function over time. This study is significant because it addresses a gap in research about robotic therapies for stroke recovery, and the findings could potentially benefit many patients in the future.
