Aspirin Preeclampsia Obstetric Risk Population

ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is focused on improving the rates at which low-dose aspirin is prescribed to pregnant women who are at risk for preeclampsia, a condition that can cause high blood pressure and other serious health issues during pregnancy. Previous studies have shown that taking low-dose aspirin can significantly lower the chances of developing preeclampsia and related complications, but many eligible women are not receiving this preventive treatment. The goal of this trial is to ensure that more women who need aspirin get it, particularly those identified as having moderate to high risk for preeclampsia.

To be eligible for this trial, participants must be women who have certain risk factors, such as having high blood pressure in a previous pregnancy, chronic kidney disease, autoimmune diseases, diabetes, or chronic hypertension. Women with multiple moderate risk factors, like being over 40 years old or having a high body mass index, may also qualify. There are no exclusions, meaning almost all eligible candidates can participate. If you join the trial, you can expect to have your care team work closely with you to ensure you receive the necessary treatment and support throughout your pregnancy.
