ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is investigating how stress affects sleep, particularly for people who struggle with insomnia due to anxiety and fear. The study looks at a concept called "sleep reactivity," which is how much stress can disrupt sleep. When stress levels are too high, it can lead to ongoing sleep problems, even after the stress has gone away. Researchers want to understand the differences in sleep patterns between those who have insomnia and healthy individuals, focusing on how stress impacts different types of sleep, especially REM sleep, which is important for processing emotions.
To be eligible for the study, participants must be between 18 and 65 years old, and both men and women can join. They should be able to read and understand the study information and provide their consent. However, people with diagnosed sleep disorders, severe anxiety or depression, substance addiction, serious neurological conditions, or who are pregnant will not be able to participate. If you join the study, you can expect to learn more about how stress affects your sleep and contribute to important research that may help others struggling with similar issues in the future. The trial is not yet recruiting participants, so there will be more information available soon.
