ClinConnect Summary
This study in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates, is an observational, quality‑improvement project that looks at how well pediatricians and family medicine doctors understand and approach adolescent well‑care visits. Researchers will survey doctors online about what they know (based on Bright Futures guidelines) and how they feel about these visits. The survey has 36 questions and uses both knowledge questions and attitude statements. Doctors will take a first online survey, then receive short online educational material, and complete a second survey about 1 year later to see if the education improves knowledge and attitudes.
Who can participate? About 100 pediatricians and family medicine physicians who work at SEHA hospitals in Al Ain City can be invited to take part. Participation is by invitation (not random), and only doctors at Al Ain SEHA hospitals are eligible. This study does not involve patients directly and there is no drug or device being tested. It’s being conducted at Tawam Hospital and is not yet showing results; the goal is to learn whether the education helps doctors provide better adolescent well‑care visits and potentially improve satisfaction for teens and their families. Completion is estimated for June 30, 2025.
