ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is looking at a special heart imaging technique called speckle tracking echocardiography to see how well it can assess heart function in patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). IBD includes conditions like Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, which can sometimes affect the heart. The trial aims to find out if this imaging method can help detect heart problems early in people with IBD, whether they are currently experiencing symptoms or are in a period of remission.

To participate in this trial, you need to be between 18 and 60 years old and have a diagnosis of IBD. Both men and women can join, but certain people can’t participate, such as those with heart diseases, uncontrolled high blood pressure or diabetes, pregnant women, or those with cancer. If you join the trial, you can expect to undergo heart imaging tests to help researchers gather important information about heart health in IBD patients. This study is still in the planning phase and has not begun recruiting participants yet.
