ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is looking at a medication called lurasidone, which is commonly used to treat schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. The main goal is to find out if lurasidone has any harmful effects on the heart, specifically how well the heart's left ventricle (the main pumping chamber) works. Researchers want to ensure that this medication is safe for patients who need it, without causing damage to their heart.

To participate in this study, individuals need to be between 18 and 65 years old and have been diagnosed with either schizophrenia or bipolar disorder. They should also be planning to use lurasidone and not have any serious heart conditions like coronary artery disease or heart failure. Participants will be monitored throughout the study to check their heart function while using lurasidone. It's important to note that the trial is not yet recruiting participants, so those interested will need to wait until it officially begins.
