ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how fear of movement, known as kinesiophobia, affects patients who are on hemodialysis for end-stage renal disease (ESRD). Researchers want to understand how this fear relates to pain, balance, physical abilities, quality of life, and mental health in these patients. The study is currently recruiting participants who are 65 years or older, have been receiving hemodialysis for at least three months, and are in a stable medical condition.
If you or a family member are considering joining this trial, you should be aware that it only includes patients without musculoskeletal disorders, which are conditions that can impact movement and physical performance. Participants can expect to share their experiences and undergo assessments related to their physical and mental health during the study. This research aims to improve understanding of how fear of movement affects overall well-being in hemodialysis patients, potentially leading to better support and treatment options.
