ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how different types of breathing exercises, combined with physical therapy, can help people with ongoing low back pain. Participants will be randomly assigned to one of three groups: one group will receive standard physical therapy, the second group will get basic breathing exercises along with physical therapy, and the third group will have more advanced breathing exercises with physical activity in addition to physical therapy. The study will measure changes in pain, disability, and overall physical ability at several points over a year.
To be eligible for this study, participants should be between 18 and 65 years old, have had low back pain for at least three months, and experience a moderate level of pain. It's important to note that those with certain medical conditions, like a history of cancer or spinal issues, cannot participate. Throughout the trial, participants will undergo various tests to assess their pain levels, physical fitness, and overall quality of life, allowing researchers to see how effective these treatments are over time.
