ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, titled "Dermoscopy in Nails," is looking at how vitiligo—a skin condition that causes loss of color—affects nail changes compared to healthy individuals. Researchers want to study the types and frequency of these nail changes in people with vitiligo, which may help improve understanding and treatment of the condition.
To be eligible for this study, participants should be adults aged between 12 and 50 years who have any form of vitiligo, including focal, generalized, acrofacial, or segmental vitiligo. Unfortunately, those over 50, individuals with autoimmune disorders, or those taking systemic medications (including birth control pills) will not be able to participate. If you qualify and decide to join, you can expect to undergo assessments of your nails to help researchers gather important information. This study is not yet recruiting participants, but it aims to provide valuable insights into the relationship between vitiligo and nail health.
