ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at a new approach to help people with chronic neck pain feel better and improve their quality of life. Specifically, it will compare a program that uses Virtual Reality (VR) and hypnotherapy to standard physical therapy. Participants will be divided into two groups: one will receive the usual physical therapy sessions, while the other will also enjoy relaxing VR experiences during their treatment. The study will track how well the treatments work by measuring pain levels and other factors like sleep quality, anxiety, and overall well-being after the program and again one and three months later.
To join this trial, participants need to be between 50 and 80 years old and have had neck pain for more than three months. However, those who have had spinal surgery, certain medical conditions, or are currently pregnant won’t be eligible. The trial is not yet recruiting, but if you or a loved one fit the criteria, this could be an exciting opportunity to explore a new way to manage chronic neck pain.
