ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying different methods of liver transplantation for patients with colorectal cancer that has spread to the liver (known as liver metastases). The researchers want to see how well various approved transplant techniques work, including using livers from living donors versus deceased donors, and comparing whole organ transplants to split organ transplants. They will also look at how long patients survive after the transplant and how quickly they recover in the hospital. Additionally, participants will provide blood samples for future research.
To be eligible for this trial, you need to be at least 18 years old and currently listed as a candidate for a liver transplant due to colorectal cancer metastases. It's important that you can give your own consent to participate. Unfortunately, individuals who are unable to consent, pregnant women, or those with certain medical conditions might not qualify for the study. If you join the trial, you can expect to receive care that meets standard practices and contribute to valuable research that might help future patients.
