ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how effective neck ultrasound can be in predicting whether a patient might have a difficult time being intubated. Intubation is a common procedure where a tube is placed in the airway to help with breathing, especially during surgery that requires general anesthesia. The goal is to see if using ultrasound can help doctors identify patients who may face challenges during this process, which can make surgeries safer.
To be eligible for this trial, participants need to be adults aged 18 years or older who will be undergoing surgery that requires general anesthesia and intubation. However, some individuals may not qualify, such as those having emergency surgeries, those with limited movement in their mouth or neck, or those with certain jaw or neck conditions. If you decide to participate, you will undergo a neck ultrasound as part of the study, and the researchers will monitor how well this method works in predicting difficult intubation. This trial is not yet recruiting participants, so if you're interested, you may need to wait until it starts.
