ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the effects of Reiki, a relaxation technique that involves gentle touch and energy work, on pain, fear, and the overall experience of giving birth. The goal is to see if Reiki can help reduce the discomfort and anxiety that many women feel during labor, which can make the birthing experience more positive.
To participate in this study, women need to be between the ages of 18 and 35, having their first baby, and be in good health without complications in their pregnancy. They should also be able to speak and understand Turkish and be at least 4 centimeters dilated during labor. Participants will receive Reiki during their labor and will be asked about their pain levels and feelings throughout the process. It’s important to note that women who have taken childbirth preparation courses or have certain health issues may not be eligible to join.
