ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring the experiences of women who visit their general practitioner (GP) for breast-related health concerns, particularly focusing on what helps or hinders them from being referred to a specialist for suspected breast cancer. Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women in the UK, and early detection is crucial for better health outcomes. The study aims to improve how GPs manage these concerns by gathering insights that could enhance medical education and referral processes.
To participate in this study, women aged 18 and older who have had breast-related health issues and were referred by their GP within the last year can join. Participants will share their experiences through interviews or group discussions, which will take about six months. The research is funded by a charity focused on breast health awareness, and it is important to note that women who require a language translator will not be eligible to participate. This study will help improve care for women dealing with breast health issues.
