ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a condition called Molar Incisor Hypomineralization (MIH) in young adults at Cairo University Dental Hospital. MIH affects how the enamel, or the hard outer layer of teeth, develops, particularly in the first permanent molars and front teeth. The goal of the study is to find out how common MIH is among young adults and whether having this condition is linked to a higher risk of getting dental cavities (also known as caries). By understanding this connection, the researchers hope to improve dental care and prevention strategies for young people who might be at risk for cavities.
To participate in this study, you need to be between 18 and 30 years old and able to give your consent. The study is open to both men and women, but individuals who are currently undergoing orthodontic treatment or those outside the age range cannot participate. If you join, you'll help researchers learn more about MIH and its impact on dental health, which could benefit future patients. The study is not yet recruiting participants, so there will be more information available once it starts.
