ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how a specific type of stitching, called compressive sutures, can improve the results of a common dental procedure used to treat gum problems known as gingival recessions. The study will involve 40 patients who have at least one area of gum recession. Half of the participants will receive treatment using compressive sutures, while the other half will have the same treatment without these sutures. The main goal is to see how well the procedure covers the exposed tooth roots after six months, along with other measurements related to gum health and patient comfort.
To join this study, participants must be between the ages of 18 and 75 and should not have any serious medical conditions, recent surgeries, or be pregnant. They should also have good overall oral health, meaning they haven’t had significant gum disease or tooth mobility. Throughout the trial, participants can expect to have their gum health monitored and will be asked about their comfort and satisfaction with the treatment. This research aims to provide valuable insights into improving dental procedures for better patient outcomes.
