ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking to understand how people's natural sleep patterns, known as chronotypes, affect those suffering from myofascial pain syndrome (MPS). MPS is a condition that causes pain in the muscles and soft tissues, often leading to discomfort in the neck and back. The study aims to explore how these sleep patterns relate to the severity of pain, the level of disability it causes, and the overall quality of life for those affected.
To participate in this trial, individuals must be between the ages of 65 and 74 and have been experiencing neck or back pain for at least three months, with a confirmed diagnosis of myofascial pain syndrome. However, those with certain conditions like recent surgeries, neurological diseases, or pregnancy are not eligible to join. Although the trial is not yet recruiting, participants can expect to share their experiences and undergo assessments to help researchers better understand the connection between sleep patterns and pain in MPS.
