ClinConnect Summary

The CANHOPE study is looking at how a special support program can help patients who have been diagnosed with unruptured intracranial aneurysms (ICAs), which are bulges in blood vessels in the brain that haven't burst yet. Many patients feel anxious and uncertain about their condition, especially during the first year after diagnosis, and this study aims to provide them with better follow-up care and support. By focusing on patients' needs and feelings, the CANHOPE program hopes to reduce anxiety and improve overall quality of life for these individuals.

To participate in this study, patients must be over 18 years old and have a newly diagnosed untreated ICA. Those who have had a ruptured aneurysm before or have certain specific genetic conditions will not be eligible. Participants can expect regular check-ins and support tailored to help them manage their feelings of uncertainty about their health. This study is actively recruiting, and its findings could help shape future care for patients with ICAs, providing valuable insights for healthcare providers.
