ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is comparing two different treatments for white spot lesions, which are small, light-colored areas on teeth that can occur due to various reasons, such as poor oral hygiene. The two treatments being studied are a self-assembling peptide called P11-4 (which can be used alone or with fluoride) and resin infiltration, a method that helps to fill in these spots to make teeth look healthier. The goal is to see which treatment is more effective.
To participate in this trial, children aged 7 to 14 who are generally healthy and can maintain good oral care are eligible. Parents or guardians must agree to let their child take part in the study. However, children with gum diseases, certain dental issues, or previous treatments for white spots will not be included. Participants will receive one of the two treatments and will likely have follow-up visits to evaluate how well the treatment is working. This study is currently looking for volunteers, so if you think your child might be interested, it could be a good opportunity to help improve dental care for others.
