ClinConnect Summary
The Spanish Registry of Digestive Tumours (RETUD) is a study looking into the current situation of digestive cancers in Spain, including types like bile duct cancer, liver cancer, colorectal cancer, and pancreatic cancer. The goal is to improve how these cancers are diagnosed and treated, ensuring that patients receive the best possible care. The study will gather information about the characteristics of these cancers in patients aged 18 and older from various healthcare centers across the country. It will also collect biological samples, with patient consent, to help in research that could lead to better treatment options.
To participate in this study, you need to be at least 18 years old and have been diagnosed with one of the specified types of digestive cancers. If you choose to participate, you will help researchers understand more about these cancers and how they affect patients, especially in light of challenges like the COVID-19 pandemic. Your involvement could lead to important findings that improve the future care of patients with digestive tumours.
