ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the effectiveness of a special device called YetiHome, which is a touchscreen tablet that helps older people improve their mobility and balance through fun, interactive exercises known as exergaming. Exergaming combines physical activity with gaming elements to make exercise more engaging. The trial will follow participants for two months to see if using YetiHome can help prevent movement problems and support older adults living at home.
To join the study, participants must be older adults who live independently at home, are not currently using health or social services, and have the mental ability to complete exercises on their own. However, those at risk of hip fractures or unable to exercise independently will not be eligible. Participants can expect to use the YetiHome device for guided exercises that aim to improve their physical functioning and overall independence. This study is an important step in understanding how technology can help older adults stay active and maintain their quality of life.
