ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is focused on improving breast reconstruction for patients who have undergone a mastectomy due to breast cancer. The study aims to create special molds tailored to each patient's needs, which can help surgeons shape tissue into a more natural-looking breast form. This method, called autologous breast reconstruction, uses the patient's own tissue to rebuild the breast, and the goal is to make this process easier and more effective for everyone involved.

To participate in the trial, you must be at least 18 years old and willing to give your consent. You should also be scheduled for a specific type of breast reconstruction surgery using either the DIEP flap or TRAM flap techniques. However, if your surgical plan involves more complex procedures, such as using additional flaps or specific types of radiation therapy, you may not be eligible. If you do qualify, you can expect to contribute to important research that could help improve breast reconstruction outcomes for future patients.
