ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a specific type of anesthesia called the External Oblique Intercostal Plane Block (EOIB) in patients who are having laparoscopic cholecystectomy surgery, which is a minimally invasive procedure to remove the gallbladder. The goal is to see how this anesthesia method affects patients during and after surgery, particularly in terms of their pain levels, the amount of pain medication they need after the operation, and their overall satisfaction with the experience. The researchers believe that using EOIB may lead to better outcomes for patients compared to those who don’t receive this type of anesthesia.
To participate in this trial, you need to be between 18 and 65 years old and generally healthy (classified as ASA 1-2, which means you have no serious health issues). However, if you are younger than 18, older than 65, allergic to local anesthetics, or have specific health concerns that could complicate surgery, you won’t be eligible. If you join, you can expect close monitoring during your surgery and follow-up assessments to understand how well the EOIB works for managing pain and improving your overall experience. This study is currently looking for participants, so if you're interested, you might want to talk to your doctor for more information.
