ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a treatment approach for a condition called placenta accreta spectrum (PAS), which occurs when the placenta grows too deeply into the uterine wall. The goal of the study is to evaluate a surgical method that aims to safely manage this condition while preserving the uterus, allowing women to maintain their reproductive options in the future. The trial will take place at Assiut University Hospital.
To be eligible for the study, participants must be pregnant women over 18 years old who have had a previous cesarean section and are at least 28 weeks into their pregnancy. They should also have ultrasound signs suggesting placenta previa accreta, which means the placenta is improperly positioned and growing into the uterine wall. Women with certain conditions, such as bleeding disorders or multiple pregnancies, will not be included in the trial. Those who participate can expect careful monitoring and support throughout the surgical process to assess both maternal and baby outcomes. This study is not yet recruiting, but it aims to provide valuable insights into managing placenta accreta safely.
