ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on understanding how walking problems (known as gait impairment) are related to different types of dementia, including pre-dementia stages. Researchers want to explore how changes in walking patterns might connect with changes in thinking and memory skills. This study aims to find patterns that could help in diagnosing and treating dementia earlier.
To participate in this trial, individuals need to be between the ages of 18 and 75 and diagnosed with either pre-dementia or dementia based on specific medical guidelines. They should also be visiting the neurology clinic at Assiut University and currently on medication for their condition. However, people with a history of certain medical issues, like severe strokes or significant balance problems, will not be eligible. If you join the trial, you can expect to undergo gait analysis, which is a way to measure how you walk, along with assessments of your thinking abilities. This research could lead to better understanding and management of dementia in the future.
