ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how young adults can make healthier and more sustainable food choices, particularly by reducing their red meat intake and swapping it for fish or plant-based foods. The researchers want to understand what factors—like personal beliefs, feelings, and the environment—affect someone's ability to make these changes in their diet. They will also explore whether an 8-week program that encourages these food swaps can improve health markers such as blood pressure and cholesterol levels.
To participate, individuals need to be between 18 and 30 years old, have a body mass index (BMI) between 18 and 35, and currently eat a lot of red meat (over 70 grams per day). This study is not for those who already eat less red meat, follow a vegetarian or vegan diet, or have certain health conditions, such as high blood pressure or cholesterol. Participants will be guided through the intervention and will help researchers learn how to better support people in making healthier food choices.
