ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at two different treatments for people who have trouble focusing their vision, a condition known as accommodation dysfunction, which includes issues like presbyopia (difficulty seeing close objects) and esotropia (a type of eye misalignment). The study will compare a combination of visual training exercises and a technique called transcranial electrical stimulation (which involves sending gentle electrical currents to the brain) against just doing the visual training exercises alone. The goal is to see which method works better to help improve vision in individuals with these conditions.
To be eligible for the trial, participants should be between the ages of 18 and 40 and have a specific type of eye condition called small-angle acute concomitant esotropia, or they should be diagnosed with presbyopia. They should also have good vision in both eyes. However, individuals with certain medical histories, such as other eye diseases, neurological issues, or those who are pregnant, cannot participate. If someone decides to join the trial, they will undergo assessments and follow the treatment plan designed by the researchers. This trial is not currently recruiting participants, but it will be an opportunity for eligible individuals to contribute to important research in the field of eye health.
