ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new computer-assisted measuring system called EndoDASS, which aims to improve the accuracy of measuring colorectal polyps during colonoscopy. Accurate measurements of these polyps are important because they help doctors determine the best treatment options and how often patients need to be monitored for potential issues. The trial will compare the performance of this new system with traditional measurement methods to see if it can provide better results in real-time during colonoscopy procedures.
To participate in this trial, you need to be an adult between 18 and 75 years old, although people aged 76 to 85 may be included if they are in good health. Eligible participants should be undergoing a colonoscopy for screening or diagnostic purposes and must be able to give informed consent to join the study. If you are taking blood-thinning medications, have certain bowel diseases, or have other specific health issues, you may not be able to participate. Those who join the trial can expect to undergo a standard colonoscopy where the performance of the EndoDASS system will be tested alongside traditional methods. This could potentially lead to better care and outcomes for future patients with colorectal polyps.
