ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on adapting a questionnaire called the Adolfsson-Björnsson Upper Extremity Activity Scale (ABAS) for Turkish-speaking patients. This scale helps to assess how different activities are affected by injuries to the arm and shoulder, taking into account how difficult these activities feel for the patients. Currently, there are existing questionnaires, but they do not fully capture the varying levels of difficulty people experience in their daily activities due to upper extremity problems. The goal of this study is to ensure the Turkish version of the ABAS is valid and reliable, meaning it accurately measures what it is supposed to measure and produces consistent results.
To participate in this trial, individuals must be between the ages of 18 and 64 and have an upper extremity injury. They also need to be able to read and write in Turkish. However, people with certain mental or neurological disorders, severe visual impairments, or other significant health issues will not be eligible to join. Participants can expect to help with an important research effort that aims to improve how healthcare providers understand and measure the challenges faced by those with arm and shoulder injuries.
