This clinical trial is looking at patients who have community-acquired pneumonia (CAP), which is a type of lung infection that people can get outside of hospitals. The researchers want to understand the characteristics of these patients and how they respond to treatment. The study will take place at Sohag University Hospital and will involve gathering medical histories and conducting examinations on participants. After one month, participants will return for a follow-up visit for further evaluation.
To be eligible for this study, participants must be adults aged 18 and older who have been diagnosed with community-acquired pneumonia. However, individuals with certain conditions, such as active cancer, those undergoing chemotherapy, HIV patients, or those requiring mechanical ventilation when they arrive at the hospital, cannot participate. This study is not yet recruiting participants, but it aims to provide valuable insights into how community-acquired pneumonia affects different patients and their recovery.

- Inclusion Criteria:
- • The study will include patients ≥18 years old with community acquired pneumonia
- Exclusion Criteria:
- • 1. Patients already was diagnosed as active malignancy before admission
- • 2. Patient on chemotherapy
- • 3. HIV patients
- • 4. Indication of mechanical ventilation on admission
