ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring a program designed to help children and teenagers with special needs, such as autism or developmental disabilities, better cooperate during eye examinations. The main goal is to see if this structured program, which includes various strategies to support their behavior and understanding, can improve how well these young people follow through with their eye exams.
To participate, children must be between 2 and 18 years old and have challenges that make it hard for them to cooperate during routine eye check-ups. Eligible participants will take part in six personalized training sessions over a few weeks, where they will practice skills to help them during eye exams. Before and after the program, their vision and behavior will be assessed to see how much they have improved. This trial is currently recruiting participants, and all genders are welcome.
