ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is investigating a new treatment called umPEA-LUT for people experiencing tinnitus, which is the perception of hearing sounds that aren't actually present, like ringing or buzzing in the ears. Tinnitus can be caused by various factors, including damage to the ear cells, inflammation, or even stress. The trial aims to evaluate how effective umPEA-LUT is in reducing the symptoms of tinnitus. This treatment combines two substances: one that helps reduce inflammation and another that improves blood flow, both of which may help in treating tinnitus and reducing the annoying sounds patients hear.
To participate in this trial, you need to be between 18 and 75 years old and have been experiencing tinnitus for at least 30 days without any treatment. However, there are some exclusions; for instance, if you've had a stroke in the past year or have uncontrolled diabetes or severe psychiatric issues, you may not be eligible. If you join, you can expect to receive the new treatment and be monitored to see how well it works for your tinnitus. The trial is not yet recruiting, but it could be an important step in finding better treatments for this challenging condition.
