ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying two different treatments for women suffering from adenomyosis, a condition where the tissue that normally lines the uterus grows into the muscle wall of the uterus. The trial will compare the effects of a medication called Dienogest with a procedure called uterine artery embolization, which helps reduce symptoms like painful periods, heavy menstrual bleeding, and discomfort related to the size of the uterus.
To participate, women aged 30 to 50 who have been diagnosed with adenomyosis may be eligible, especially if they experience heavy bleeding, pain during their menstrual cycle, or other related symptoms. However, those who are pregnant, have certain serious health conditions, or a history of cancer are not eligible. While the trial is not yet recruiting participants, once it begins, women who qualify can expect to receive either the medication or the procedure to help manage their symptoms, contributing to important research that could improve treatment options for adenomyosis in the future.
