ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how different bowel preparation methods affect patients’ experiences before having a colonoscopy. The study will compare two types of bowel preparation solutions: one that contains polyethylene glycol and another that uses sodium phosphate. Researchers want to find out which method helps patients better prepare for the procedure in terms of how well their bowels are cleaned, how easy it is for them to follow the preparation instructions, and how tolerable each method is.
To be eligible for this trial, participants should be between 65 and 74 years old, able to read and understand instructions, and willing to drink at least 75% of the preparation solution. However, individuals with certain medical conditions, like active lower intestinal bleeding or severe liver or kidney issues, cannot participate. If you decide to join, you will receive a detailed explanation of the procedure, and after the colonoscopy, your experience with the bowel preparation will be assessed to help improve future practices.
