ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the relationship between jaw joint problems, known as temporomandibular disorders (TMD), and symptoms related to hearing and balance (audiovestibular symptoms). The researchers want to understand if people with TMD have certain symptoms that might affect their hearing or balance, which could help in developing better treatment and prevention strategies for those suffering from these conditions.
To participate in the study, you need to be between 18 and 35 years old and have been diagnosed with a specific type of TMD for at least a month. You should also experience tenderness and pain in the jaw area. However, if you have had recent injuries in the same area, ear diseases that affect your hearing, or certain other medical issues, you may not be eligible. If you join the study, you can expect to undergo evaluations of your jaw and balance systems, and the information gathered will be used to analyze any connections between these symptoms.
