ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is focused on understanding the health outcomes of adults with congenital heart disease, which is a heart condition present from birth. Researchers are looking to find out what factors can predict serious health issues, such as death or hospitalizations due to heart problems, over time. They will also investigate how new heart conditions that develop later in life, like valve disease, may affect these patients. The study will take place at our outpatient clinic where participants will be monitored during their regular follow-up visits, but no new treatments or medications will be given as part of this study.

To join the study, participants need to be at least 18 years old and have been seen in our clinic for congenital heart disease between January 2014 and December 2026. Those who do not have confirmed congenital heart disease, cannot provide information from their first clinic visit, have been followed for less than a year, or choose not to participate will be excluded. Overall, this trial aims to improve our understanding of how to care for adults with congenital heart disease by examining their health over time.
