ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at a new treatment called transspinal direct current stimulation to see if it can help improve mobility in patients who have had a stroke. The main goal is to find out if this treatment, when combined with walking exercises, can make it easier for these individuals to move around. Participants will be divided into two groups: one will receive the actual stimulation along with gait training, while the other group will receive a sham (or fake) stimulation with the same training to compare the effects.
To be eligible for this study, participants need to be at least 18 years old and have had a stroke diagnosed by a neurologist. They should also have some difficulties with movement in their legs as a result of the stroke but must not have any other serious neurological conditions or certain health issues that could affect the study. Those who join will take part in 10 sessions of treatment and will be evaluated before, right after, and 15 and 30 days after the sessions are complete. This trial is currently not recruiting participants, but it aims to gather important information on how this new approach may help stroke survivors regain their mobility.
