ClinConnect Summary
The Yoga 4 Body Image (Y4BI) trial is exploring how practicing yoga can affect body image and eating behaviors, especially among young women who often struggle with body dissatisfaction. This trial aims to understand if yoga can help improve how women feel about their bodies, and it will look into the reasons why this might happen, such as increased self-compassion and awareness of their own bodies.
To participate in this study, women aged 18 to 35 who are not currently practicing yoga regularly are eligible. Participants will engage in yoga sessions and share their experiences regarding their body image and eating habits. It’s important to note that women who are pregnant or have certain medical conditions that may interfere with yoga practice are not eligible to join. By taking part in this trial, participants can contribute to our understanding of how yoga might support better body image and healthier eating behaviors.
