ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new approach to help people who are experiencing chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN), a condition that can cause pain, numbness, and balance issues in the legs and feet after cancer treatment. The trial will compare a special sensory retraining program, where participants will receive three sessions to improve their sensory skills, to usual care that they would normally receive. Researchers will measure how well this retraining helps with symptoms, pain levels, and mobility, along with other factors like balance and satisfaction with the treatment.
To participate in the trial, individuals must be over 18 years old and have been experiencing CIPN symptoms for more than three months after their last chemotherapy treatment. However, those who had nerve problems before chemotherapy, experienced frequent falls before treatment, or have certain other health issues will not be eligible. Participants can expect to receive either the sensory retraining or standard care and will be asked to complete various assessments to track their progress. This trial is not yet recruiting, so those interested will need to wait for more information on how to join.
