ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how isotretinoin, a medication used to treat moderate to severe acne, affects dry eye symptoms in patients. Researchers want to find out if the amount of isotretinoin taken changes how much dry eye a person experiences. The trial is not yet recruiting participants, but when it does, individuals aged 18 to 65 with moderate to severe acne who are starting isotretinoin treatment may be eligible to join.
Participants will be monitored for changes in their eye health during the treatment. It’s important to note that people with existing eye diseases that cause dry eyes or pregnant women cannot participate in this study. This trial aims to improve understanding of how acne treatment might impact eye comfort, which is an important aspect of overall health for those receiving isotretinoin.
