ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how using a baby carrier can help mothers who are feeling anxious or depressed during pregnancy. The main goal is to see if this increased physical contact with their infants can improve how sensitive mothers are to their baby's needs and strengthen the bond between them. The study will involve mothers choosing between two types of soft baby carriers and using them for a certain amount of time. They will also have two home visits and fill out questionnaires about their feelings and experiences with the baby carrier.
To participate, mothers must be at least 18 years old, able to communicate in English or French, and have been diagnosed with anxiety or depression during their pregnancy. They should also live in the greater Montreal area and have given birth to a healthy baby. Participants will be asked to share their thoughts on using the baby carrier through interviews, helping researchers understand the impact of physical contact on both the mother and baby. This trial is not yet recruiting participants, but it aims to gather valuable information that could help improve support for mothers facing these challenges.
