ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring how levels of a protein called serum albumin can predict short-term outcomes for patients with Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS), which is a serious condition that affects the heart. Researchers want to understand if measuring serum albumin levels can help identify patients who might be at higher risk for complications shortly after being admitted to the hospital.
To be eligible for this study, participants should be at least 18 years old and have been diagnosed with ACS while in the emergency department or coronary care unit. However, individuals with certain health conditions, like chronic liver disease, or those receiving treatments that might alter serum albumin levels are not eligible. This trial is not currently recruiting participants, but once it starts, those who join can expect to provide some medical information and undergo tests to measure their serum albumin levels as part of their care.
