To participate in the study, you need to be between 18 and 65 years old and have been diagnosed with axial spondyloarthritis. Healthy volunteers in the same age range who do not have any inflammatory diseases can also join the study. Participants can expect to undergo a simple ultrasound examination of their shoulder joints. It’s important to know that individuals with a history of shoulder injuries, surgeries, or certain health conditions, as well as those who are pregnant, will not be eligible for this trial. The aim is to better understand how this arthritis affects the shoulder, which could lead to improved care for patients in the future.

Eligibility criteria

• Inclusion Criteria:
• • Patients with a radiographic or non-radiographic diagnosis of axial spondyloarthritis according to ASAS 2009 classification criteria
• • Patients aged 18-65
• • For healthy controls; people aged 18-65 years who attended PMR outpatient clinics for any reason, without a diagnosis of inflammatory disease and without complaints of shoulder pain.
• Exclusion Criteria:
• • People under 18 and over 65
• • History of shoulder trauma
• • History of upper extremity surgery
• • History of fracture of the upper extremity
• • History of malignancy
• • Pregnancy
